Growth Stall & Bottleneck Diagnostic

Growth slowed. The question is which constraint actually did it.

Answer six questions about demand, conversion, retention, discounting and availability. The tool ranks the most plausible growth constraints and tells you what evidence would confirm each — because the wrong fix is more expensive than the constraint itself.

Six questions. The output is a ranked set of hypotheses to investigate — not a diagnosis. A short self-assessment narrows the search; evidence confirms it.

How it works

Each answer adds weighted signal to seven bottleneck hypotheses: demand generation, sales conversion, pricing and discounting, distribution and availability, offer/retention, market fit, and commercial visibility.

The ranking shows signal strength, not certainty. A self-assessment narrows where to look; only evidence confirms. The tool deliberately refuses to give a definitive diagnosis from six questions.

Every hypothesis links to the specialist tool that investigates it properly — funnel leakage for conversion, the discount simulator for pricing, the distributor scorecard for availability.

Worked example

A ₹40 Cr consumer brand sees flat revenue. Answers show healthy enquiries, weak conversion and growing discounts. The tool ranks sales conversion first and pricing second — and a week of funnel data later, the team finds proposals go unanswered 60% of the time. The fix was follow-up discipline, not more leads.

Illustrative figures, not a client outcome.

Questions, answered

Is this a real diagnosis?

No. It is a structured hypothesis ranking based on your answers. It tells you where to look first and what evidence to gather — the specialist tools and your own data do the diagnosing.

What if several scores are close?

That usually means a connected system problem — for example weak conversion and rising discounts often travel together. Start with the highest-ranked hypothesis and re-run after a month of better data.

What data should I gather next?

Each ranked card lists the first investigation. Typically: stage-wise funnel counts, win/loss reasons, discount realisation by channel, and availability or stock-out records.
