How it works

Allocations normalise to 100%. Each bucket returns at your stated assumption: brand as a 12-month multiplier, performance and retention as ROAS.

Warnings fire at the classic failure modes: >70% performance (harvesting demand you're not creating), zero brand (the well runs dry), zero retention (reacquiring churn at multiples).

These are your assumptions made explicit — the tool's job is the argument about which one you'd bet on.

Worked example

₹50 L at 40/45/15 with a 1.5× brand multiplier, 3× performance and 5× retention ROAS projects ₹1.4 Cr — blended 2.8×. Sliding to 0/80/20 raises next quarter's number and quietly halves the following year's; the warning panel says exactly that, in front of the CFO.

Questions, answered

What split should we use?

Category and stage decide: challengers usually need 30–50% brand to have demand to harvest later; mature leaders can run heavier performance. The tool forces your assumption into the open — that's the deliverable.

Where do the return multiples come from?

Your own history first: last year's measured returns by bucket. Industry ranges are a fallback, not a plan.
